In May this year our friends at CyclingTips ventured out on the latest instalment of their epic Roadtripping series. Their journey was the 900km distance of The Mawson Trail north of Adelaide, South Australia.

This week CyclingTips released a stunning video which captures both the beauty and brutality of the journey undertaken by Dan Bonello, Ben May, and Alee Denham. Over the course of their 6 day ride the trio savoured incredible vistas while also facing rain, mud and powerful winds as they battled their way towards a well earned beer at the North Blinman Hotel.

Check out the video and enjoy some of the incredible photography from our good mate, Tim Bardsley-Smith, below.

The Mawson Trail traces a route north from Adelaide to the tiny township of Blinman. The trail traverses remote areas of the Mount Lofty and Flinders Ranges, and extends almost entirely on non-bitumen roads as it snakes its way through 21 South Australian townships. With northerly winds driving their way from central Australia, the boys on the trip endured powerful head and cross winds along their route.
